From Japan to Europe: my ballet foundation
Born in Shizuoka, Japan, I began my ballet training at a young age before continuing my professional education in Europe. I graduated at the top of my class from the Royal Ballet School Antwerp under the artistic direction of Michel Shannon. During my studies, I performed the title role in Giselle and danced in Jiří Kylián’s Sinfonietta. While still a student, I was selected as an Apprentice with Ballet Vlaanderen, where I gained valuable professional stage experience. During this time, I performed works by George Balanchine and danced the solo and pas de deux from Ricardo Amarante’s Love Fear Loss. These experiences allowed me to develop a versatile repertoire spanning both classical and contemporary ballet.
Expanding my artistry: contemporary and choreography
Following my graduation, I furthered my studies in the DNSP2 programme at the Pôle National Supérieur de Danse Rosella Hightower in Cannes, under the artistic direction of Paola Cantalupo. This period was crucial for expanding my artistic practice through contemporary dance, choreography, and creative composition. It was during this time that I had the privilege of performing "The Rite of Spring" by the renowned Angelin Preljocaj.
Joining the Schleswig-Holstein State Theatre
Since joining the Ballet Company of the Schleswig-Holstein State Theatre in Germany in 2015, I have performed a wide range of roles in both classical and contemporary productions, including principal, soloist, and ensemble roles. From 2015 to 2020, I worked under the artistic direction of Katharina Torwesten, and since 2020, under Emil Wedervang Bruland. Through a diverse repertoire and collaborations with various choreographers, I have continued to develop my artistic versatility and stage presence, striving to connect with audiences through every performance.
